２０２５年１２月２９日に発生した津軽飯詰駅付近での列車分離につきまして

２０２５年１２月２９日１４:５２、津軽中里駅行き 普通列車（列車番号：第１５５列車・編成：津軽２１形２両＋客車２両４両編成）が津軽飯詰駅を発車した直後、先頭の気動車津軽２１形２両と、客車２両の連結部で分離し、全車両に非常ブレーキがかかり、緊急停車する事象が発生しました。ご乗車のお客様には多大なご迷惑をおかけした事を深くお詫び申し上げます。
走行中に連結器が分離するという事象を重く受け止め、原因の確認と再発防止に努めてまいります。

概要

発生日時：２０２５年１２月２９日（月）１４：５２頃
発生場所：津軽鉄道線 津軽飯詰駅付近
当該列車：下り普通列車第１５５列車
・編　成：気動車津軽２１形２両+客車２両の４両編成
・乗　客：約２００名
・乗務員：機関士１名・車掌１名・車内販売員２名・津軽半島観光アテンダント２名

発生当時の状況

津軽五所川原駅１４時４０分発の第１５５列車として、当該編成は津軽飯詰駅に到着。
１４時５１分、当該編成は第１５５列車として津軽飯詰駅を定刻に発車しましたが、１４時５２分頃、前町線道踏切付近において、気動車（津軽２１形２両）と直後の客車を連結する連結部分が分離しました。
連結部分が分離したことにより車両間の距離が開き、ブレーキ管も分離したため、気動車および客車に自動的に非常ブレーキが作動し、列車は前町道踏切付近で停止しました。
その後、気動車と客車の連結器およびブレーキ管の状態を確認し、あわせてレール等の確認を実施したうえで、運転を再開しました。
今回の事象を受け、線路の安全確認を実施するため、客車（ストーブ列車）の連結を取り止め、同客車の運行を休止することといたしました。
これに伴い、１５１・１５２・１５３・１５４・１５５・１５６列車は、客車（ストーブ列車）が連結される時間帯ですが、気動車（走れメロス号）のみで運行いたします。

【ご乗車を予定されていたお客様へ】

客車（ストーブ列車）へのご乗車を楽しみにお越しいただいた皆様への対応といたしまして、津軽五所川原駅構内４番線に客車（ストーブ列車）を留置し、客車車内を無料開放することといたします。
客車内では石炭ストーブを焚き、ストーブ列車の雰囲気をお楽しみいただけるよう準備いたします。

津軽五所川原駅構内４番線への客車(ストーブ列車)の開放時間は９時３０分から１７時００分までです。

今回の事象を真摯に受け止め、安全性向上に向けた取り組みを一層強化してまいります。

Regarding the Train Separation Incident Near Tsugaru-Iizume Station on December 29, 2025

At around 14:52 on December 29, 2025, an incident occurred in which an outbound local train bound for Tsugaru-Nakasato (Train No. 155, consisting of two Tsugaru 21-type diesel cars and two passenger coaches, four cars in total) became separated just after departing Tsugaru-Iizume Station. The coupling between the two leading diesel cars and the two following coaches detached, causing the emergency brakes to activate on all cars and bringing the train to an abrupt stop.

We sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience caused to our passengers.

We take this incident—where a coupling separated while the train was in motion—with the utmost seriousness, and we will work diligently to identify the cause and prevent any recurrence.

Situation at the Time of the Incident

Train No. 155 departed Tsugaru-Goshogawara Station at 14:40 and arrived at Tsugaru-Iizume Station as scheduled.

At 14:51, the train departed Tsugaru-Iizume Station on time. However, at around 14:52, near the Maemachi Level Crossing, the coupling between the diesel cars (two Tsugaru 21-type units) and the coach immediately behind them became detached.

As the coupling separated, the distance between the vehicles widened, and the brake pipe also disconnected. This caused the automatic emergency brakes to activate on both the diesel cars and the coaches, bringing the train to a stop near the Maemachi Level Crossing.

Afterward, the condition of the couplers and brake pipes between the diesel cars and coaches was inspected, along with the track conditions, before operations were resumed.

In response to this incident and to ensure track safety, we have suspended the coupling and operation of the passenger coaches (Stove Train).

Accordingly, trains No. 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, and 156—which normally operate with the Stove Train coaches—will run using only the diesel cars (“Hashire Melos”).

 

To Passengers Who Planned to Ride the Stove Train

As a measure for those who were looking forward to riding the Stove Train, we will place the coaches on Track 4 inside Tsugaru-Goshogawara Station and open them to the public free of charge.

Addendum as of December 30, 2025
The passenger car (Stove Train) on Track 4 inside Tsugaru-Goshogawara Station is open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A coal stove will be lit inside the coach so that visitors may still enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Stove Train.

We take this incident very seriously and will further strengthen our efforts to improve safety.
